The official JALT Study Abroad SIG publication is The Journal of Worldwide Education (JOWE) (formerly RYŪGAKU: Explorations in Study Abroad), a peer-refereed annual journal.

『Journal of Worldwide Education』（旧『海外留学』）は全国語学教育学会（JALT）海外留学研究部会の年に1回出版される査読付学術誌です。バックナンバーは下記のリンクからご覧いただけます。

第13巻1号（2020年）以降の各研究論文のPDFは、JOWE研究論文ページからアクセスできます。最新発行のJOWEは最新号をご覧ください。全号はアーカイブでご覧いただけます。
Publication Guidelines
Language: Submissions in both English and Japanese are accepted in principle.
Style: Please follow the latest APA style for English manuscripts.
Nine kinds of articles appear in this journal:
  1. Research articles between five and twelve pages.*
  2. Short articles up to three pages.
  3. Interviews between two and four pages.
  4. Classroom ideas up to five pages.
  5. Book reviews between two and four pages.
  6. Text reviews based on a text you used in class; between two and four pages.
  7. Study abroad program reviews between one and three pages.
  8. Study abroad experiences from students between one and three pages.
*Page limits assume single-spaced 12-point Roman or 10.5-point Mincho font on A4 paper. Appendices are not included in the page limits.

​​Evaluation Procedure
All research articles and short articles are subject to peer review.  After an initial evaluation period, authors will be informed of the editorial decision regarding their manuscripts.

​Deadline
The Journal of Worldwide Education is published once a year. The submission deadline is the 1st of September. → Deadline Extended to October 1st.

文体：『Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association』の定める方式に合わせてください。日本語版はJALT Journal書式シート[PDF / Word file]を参考に作成してください。
『Journal of Worldwide Education』には、8つのカテゴリーがあります：
  1. 研究論文　5～12ページ
  2. 展望論文　3ページ以内
  3. インタビュー記事　2～5ページ
  4. 実践報告　5ページ以内
  5. 書評　2～4ページ
  6. 教材のレビュー　2～4ページ
  7. 海外留学プログラムのレビュー　1～3ページ
  8. 学生による海外留学の経験　1～3ページ
 ※ A4サイズでTimes New Roman12ポイント、MS明朝体10.5ポイントのフォントを使用して作成してください。付録（Appendix）はページ制限には含みません。

​査読について
​投稿された論文は、すべて査読が行われます。査読者の審査に基づき編集委員が審議を行い、その結果を投稿者にお伝えします。

​投稿締め切り
『Journal of Worldwide Education』は年1回出版されます。締め切りは、9月1日です。 → 締め切りが10月1日まで延長されました。
